WORKS FAST! Best Stretches For Low Back Pain - From a Physical Therapist

Low back pain makes up the majority of cases that I see everyday in my physical therapy clinic. Oftentimes decreasing pain and stretching these tight, sore muscles is the first step to recovery.
Here are four great stretches I recommend most commonly for lumbar spine pain.
Please note - not all back pain is created equally. That said these exercises MIGHT not be the best for your specific case. I encourage you to consult your medical healthcare professional about your pain to determine the best plan of care for your individual needs.

I just recently discovered your videos and immediately found them to be to the point and with very clear instructions. Youtube and internet is a wild wild jungle when it comes to instructions for various health conditions; 95% of the content is complete rubbish. It is a rare skill to be able to explain health conditions clearly - you have that skill. Thank you very much for your videos. I have already learned a lot and will continue learning more!

Hi Jared,
I found your back exercise videos a few months ago on YouTube. I have dounf them very helpful indeed. I have chronic back pain and it's been years ! I have had lots of physio to help with my 90°posture but the pain is not getting any better. Do you think possibly surgery could help ?

I have a daily corrective routine for Anterior Pelvic Tilt. Involves strengthening abs + glutes, and stretching hip flexors + erector spinae. Do you think the 4 exercises you showed are a good choice for adding to my routine (stretching erector spinae)? good idea to do these after squats/deadlifts in order to decompress the spine?

I was wondering if you have any stretches or self massages that will help my lower back pain. I had lower back surgery 8 years ago and I still find that I get pain in that area. I do my stretching and apply heat but Im just wondering if thwres anything more I can do because I hate pain meds.

Hi, I really need your help! I have a really bad lower left back pain from my desk job. 180cm tall 90kgs. I train BJJ 4 times a week so whole body always in pain. I have a slight tear on my left knee medial meniscus so do you have any exercises / stretches / strengthening / conditioning that can help my knees and lower back? Thank you!
