Join me for a 25 Minute standing pilates workout for Seniors or anyone who wants a gentle exercise routine. We wlll start with breath work to tone the core and help release tension in the upper body. Then working from head to toes we will mobilise all the joints with functional exercises to get things moving in a lovely way that feels good for mind and body. I have put together exercises for the general aches & pains in the joints and spine that come with age. As well as some other exercises to help combat loss of strength, coordination and balance that also comes with age, but -and this is important- It doesn't have to be that way! Doing these exercises regularly will improve all these things so I am recommending you build up to doing this workout at least twice a week. I've taught these exercises twice weekly to my Senior clients in London, they are ages 60- 83. Take your time and do what you can, if anything is too challenging for you right now, don't worry, just rest and come back and try again when you're ready. Take care of yourselves.

This workout helps reduce pain and stiffness from arthritis. It's amazing what a difference just 25 minutes can make, especially when Rachel is the instructor!

Good, good. Gentle workout and perfect length. Realized I had neck pain from looking down at the the video on laptop on my desk. Elevated my laptop by placing it on a bookshelf...neck pain gone!

Can't believe I have not done this Video before.
Felt great. That focus on breathing is so helpful.
But I could not reach my arm around my rips. Belly is to big 😢😢

Rachel dear, is it ok to do this workout seated? I have osteoarthritis and sometimes standing for more than 10-15 minutes can put me down for a couple of hours. It all depends on how much I’ve tried to push myself. The good news is when I was diagnosed in 2017 I set to work on a good food plan, lost 30 pounds, and kept it off except for a pound or so around the holidays. I only did gentle stretching exercises while in the losing phase and it worked. As long as I continue to track my food and use portion control it works. I’m 67 and want to keep my mobility up. Thanks for all you do. So happy I found your channel. Blessings to you!

Morning. I love the seniors workouts but hesitate to try any mat workouts as lost confidence to get down and up - can you show us oldies how to get down and up gracefully/safely?
