Standing Pilates for Seniors- 30 minutes of exercise to Improve Strength, Balance & Build Confidence

Join me for a 30 Minute standing pilates workout for Seniors 60+. In this enjoyable session you will be doing exercises to ease general aches & pains in the joints and spine, as well as some specially created exercises to help combat loss of strength, coordination and balance that comes with age, but -and this is important- It doesn't have to be that way! Doing these exercises regularly will improve all these things so I am recommending you build up to doing this workout at least twice a week, ideally three times a week. Take your time, do what you can, and if anything is too challenging for you right now, don't worry, just rest and come back and try again when you're ready. Moving daily is the best way to build strength so try and do a little something everyday.

Dear Rachel, I don’t know in the UK, but in Italy I don’t think there are Pilates teachers on YouTube who make classes for the elderly. I think it’s such a beautiful thing 💫, also your lessons for over 60s. I’m really happy to have met you on my way🌹. Thanks again and a big hug from Italy 🤗

Dear Rachel, I had to return to work at age 62 after many years at home. I’ve been into fitness about ten years, found your channel a year ago. I am on my feet all day and
on the floor with kids. I move like a much younger person and your workouts are a huge part of this. Thank you for what you do for the over 60 crowd! Much love ❤

Dear Rachel, I'm from Australia, 71 yo, and I've been doing one of your senior sessions every morning for more than two years. Thank you so much for thorough instructions and cheerful, understanding attitude. Could you plese do a session for older people with lordosis. I'm trying to adjust some exercises or stop video and do a back stratch in between, but, I'm sure, you know what best to do with such condition. Thank you.

That was lovely. I usually do an intermediate standing – and I’m almost 66 – but love a good senior workout. Maybe not so heavy on the squats but a beautiful stretch and movement video.

OMG! Perfect! My fault I haven't done Pilates the past 3 months. Last week's Intermediate was a bit of a challenge so I logged on this morning to find a more warm-up "class". How wonderful for me that yesterday's "class" was perfect for getting those muscles ready for more challenging ones.

I love this routine especially for my hips. I have achy hips! I do need to work on when I get on the floor with my grandchildren to be able get back up! Lol

Rachel, great class …… have been taking it easy and following your more gentle and senior classes due to being on the mend and easing back into excercise. One day I will be back to regular and intermediate. But no matter what your classes are perfect in every way ♥️
