Learn postpartum exercise guidelines according to baby professionals. Are you wondering When can I start exercising after giving birth? And what exercises can I do right after delivery? Many women have this common questions and are given a bland "wait 6-weeks" or "until your cleared" answer. In this video we go over the definition of exercise, how you can plan to start postpartum exercise, and what the postpartum exercise recommendations are from ACOG.

Excuse the hallway video, we moved and received out boxes only 5 days before the baby was born so there was no "good spot" to record in my house.

Such a great perspective! I absolutely agree—it’s all about listening to your body and starting when you feel comfortable. As a personal trainer, I’ve seen many women who take things slow and focus on what they can do, and they’ve made incredible progress post-pregnancy. The key is consistency and being kind to yourself while adjusting to the new demands of motherhood. It’s amazing to see how much results can come from simply doing what you can each day!😊

I started walking 1.5 to 2 miles after 2 weeks postpartum. Now I am 4 weeks PP and trying to do 2 to 3 miles a day. At 6 weeks I will start to lift weights again, obviously much lighter as I build strength back up. I am still 22lbs over my pre-pregnancy weight and hoping to get fit and strong again over the course of the next months. Baby number 2!!

also ik non of my business and mom knows better but the way holding like that a 4 day pld baby isnt safe for their spine: it has to be held so it is not squizzed like that. Their spine is weak and is needed to held straight until they can do it on their own.
btw i used to hold my baby like that until i made a habit to hold her spine

You look great for 4 days postpartum. I remember crying for ny back pain on day 3. I am 19 days postpartum and wonder when can I start your workouts? Also does the age matter? Is the workout same for 25 years old and 40 years old?

My husband told me is the best to stay away from any workout for at least 6 month, to let ur body healed completely, to let the uterus back and other organ get back to its original place, thats good also for vigina after stretched to give time to heal.

Adorable baby and you look great! I’m 7 days postpartum with my second baby and I want to exercise. I worked out 1 hour a day, 6 days a week my whole pregnancy. I’m worried I’ll gain weight not able to work it and everyone’s bringing food over. 😩
