Frustrating circumstances can make even the strongest and happiest of couples start to second guess their relationship and ask themselves whether or not it’s even worth it. Are you in a situation where you're unsure about your relationship but you don't want to spend the rest of your life regretting your decision and pining over “the one that got away”? Would it be better to stay with this person or break up now? To help you answer that question, here are a few definitive signs that can help you realize whether or not someone is worth fighting for.

This perfectly described my relationship with one of my ex's. He made me want to be a better person and because of him, I started following my dream of rebuilding old cars. I lacked a lot of confidence and self worth before I met him. He pulled me out of my shell and built me up when others tried to tare me down. Every day, I'm thankful for the time he and I had together. May he rest in peace.

I’d like to add to the conflict part please.

Someone once told me “you can get as mad as you want at someone, but only as long as you’re willing to spend the same amount of energy resolving the problem”

My girlfriend and I broke up for 2 weeks. Neither one of us reached out to each other during those 2 weeks out of respect for each other. After talking my therapist I decided to reach out to see how she was doing. It turns out that neither one of us wanted to break up and we just had a serious communication issue. We make each other feel everything in this video and fighting for our relationship was worth it. I hope we can avoid any major miscommunications in the future because life would be lesser without her

The older I get, I see #6 is more important than the rest. If someone you just met doesn’t share the same core values, just move on. The other signs are important but can be worked on developed with time

My therapist said “Equal partner, worthy foe.” That is the best. Someone who shows up equally but also pushes/motivates you to expand yourself.

I was that person for my partner. I wasn’t worth fighting for. He took me for granted. I was way better off on my own. It’s a two way street both parties should be all of the things that are mentioned in the video. It’s sad when the other person gets the short end of the stick, which in my relationship was me. Everyone deserves equal love and appreciation. I hope everyone who sees this video is either being treated as they should already in their present relationship or that this kind of relationship will find it’s way to you.

What hurts the most is that I shared all of these with my most recent girlfriend except for #6. You can share all of these traits but if you don't have the same core values the relationship just isn't going to work.

Having recently broken up with someone who I really didn’t want to break up with, this was a particularly painful watch. I really wanted to make things work but you can’t make someone feel something they don’t

This made me realise that there are people I don't need to fight for. Just gotta let them go.

When I’m at my most insecure, I want to run away, but after watching this I realize that the person I’m with is really great for me, and our relationship is strong. It feels really good to realize that from a rational mindset, when usually I have to come to terms with the opposite :)

Shared it with my partner, just now, and we both agree that our relationship checks all 7 of those boxes. Thank you for the guidelines. They are very helpful
