Regarding the GSR on the inside of the rain coat that hasn’t been mentioned by anyone yet especially by people who are familiar with this area could have a simple explanation.

I live in Hampton, SC. In This is huge Carolina Gamecocks (USC) territory. The Murdaugh family were season pass holders and had huge tailgate parties.

The rain jacket/poncho they’re referring to is what’s known as a “Stadium Raincoat” and can be bought at the stadium. I guarantee that the Murdaughs have more than 1 or 2. I have one for each of my family members myself. They are a thinner “tarp” like material and often blue, as mine are and as sold at the stadiums here. They have a small stretchy cuff on the “mock sleeves”.

They’re calling it a poncho not because of how big in size it is but because of the design. They resemble ponchos and can be worn that way but do have large sleeve openings.They are very oversized because they are designed to be able to wear out wear(reg jackets, hoodies etc) underneath them without being too tight. The GSR that was found INSIDE the rain coat could have been transferred by a jacket, coat that had been previously worn while hunting (like a camouflage Carhart) or target practice on their property. Ms, Shelly could have very mistaken it for a tarp due to how big and roomy they are plus the sleeve area isn’t defined as it would be in a normal coat.

That’s my theory, anyways, that could explain why there’s confusion about it and an alternate explanation for the GSR being on the inside of it, rather than outside.

I’m surprised that wasn’t mentioned by the defense or anyone from SLED because they’re so popular and sold at the stadiums, USC and Clemson. My grandfather was class mates and lifelong friends with Buster Sr. I know they both attended several games together and golfed. They were/are diehard Gamecocks.

Occam's razor... A person is out shooting, and it begins to rain. Shooter grabs poncho and pulls it on. GSR that was on the OUTside of the clothing would then be on the INside of the poncho. Simple, plausible and, most likely, the actual explanation.

Peter, pls break down Lindsay Clancy. This happened in town next to mine. She m’d her 3 kids last mnth (5yr Cora, 3yr Dawson 8mnth old Callan) and then tried to unalive herself & failed. Claims say she was suffering from postpartum psychosis. She was arraigned on Tuesday and is pleading involuntary intox. It’s interesting when you hear the prosecutor break down! Her poor husband was only gone for 25 mins!
