Dr Harcombe is an expert in cholesterol and saturated fat and the suggested link between heart attacks and heart disease. Dr Zoe Harcombe has spent her career challenging the dietary food guidelines (specifically dietary fat). She asserts that the 1977 change in dietary guidelines and the drive to lower cholesterol have caused the worldwide obesity crisis.

In this episode, Dr. Harcombe explains cholesterol, the differences between LDL and HDL cholesterol, and the link between saturated fat and high cholesterol.

Dr Harcombe also discusses the myth of fiber, the dangers of statins, and why vitamin D is essential for optimal health.

This episode is important if you want to understand the truth about cholesterol and saturated fat. You will learn the mechanism by which cholesterol works in the body, how LDL cholesterol is protective for your heart, and how much fat you should eat a day for optimal health.

I up my saturated fats from pork beef, eggs, butter & extra virgin coconut oil after being diagnosed with coronary artery disease and I removed all ultra-processed foods & drinks and seed oil. I went low carbs first then ketovore. Also up my omega-3. In less than 6 months complete left bundle branch block gone.

My Grandma had a diet of high saturated fat...bacon sausages beef pork etc and she used to eat the fat too.
She also ate dripping & Lard .
She also had a diet high in full fat dairy....eggs butter full fat milk etc.
She was healthy all her life and lived to be 96.

Many times when I listen to a podcast I like to look up their name followed by debunked. Just to hear the other side of the argument. When I looked up the good doctor here debunked nothing came up. Apparently she knows the literature so well that people don't even attempt a counter argument. That's pretty impressive

That is true… I use to be 215 ( I am 5’ tall) when I stopped eating junk food, eating between meals, and eating before going to bed… I start feeling good and start loosing weight…then I increase my fat intake and walk for few minutes some days of the week… today I am 125lbs. No high cholesterol.

I have the family cholesterol that is very high. I tried to bring it down by all sorts of diet and failed. My dr has told me that this type of hereditary family cholesterol is not able to be brought down unless you take statins. I did a lot of research and have always refused the statins. I eat very healthy am thin and very active at 75. The reasearch I found said that they found that ppl with my type of cholesterol live longer have fewer infections and have a higher immune system. I decided I will just have to live with that even though every dr I see they tell me I am going to drop dead from heart attack. Nothing wrong with my heart yet soi tell them I’ve had a good life and feel lucky to have reached 75

I am BLOWN away by the "fiber" section. I eat a lot of fiber because I am told it's super good for you. But it never made sense to me because fiber cant't be digested any further. Anyway, I am going to look more into this. Thank you for opening my mind. Learning never ends. These podcasts are awesome!

Well you are correct about getting in the system. I had dengue fever years ago so now have 6 monthly blood tests, theyve tried statins as im keto and show high cholesterol. Now found blood issues, kidney function issues and insist on flu and covid jabs. Ive refused them all and now my doctor has gone turn round.

I was prescribed Crestor about 8 years ago. It took a few months to realize what was causing all my joints to be extremely painful.

There was an important study forty years ago that showed high cholesterol does NOT cause heart problems. That study was suppressed by the sugar industry and bg pharmacy. Two years ago the NIH (National institute of Health) discovered it and some doctors are now aware of this.

Started the Carnivore Diet 30 days ago. Started at 245 lbs., 75lbs. Overweight, Today I weighed 220 lbs. Amazing! Results were almost verbatim what Dr. Berg states in his videos. More energy than the last 5 years ( when I started eating like crap and got fat ) mentally clear and mind clicking fast as ever. Sleep apnea declined by more than half, per my sleep app, and no more waking up a half dozen times a night. Walking in evenings, swimming and, core in late mornings and the gym 4 afternoons a week getting back to my gym rat days. Inflammation aches disappearing, arthritis almost gone in my knees and toes. The list goes on after Only 30 days! I committed to 90 days- Thanksgiving to evaluate overall results. Leaning carnivore with a small amount of my favorite fruits depending how I feel after 90 days. Just do it! It really is a logical miracle.

I got blood sugar back in 2020. The HbA1c came at 10. I followed the keto diet backed by protein from mainly eggs and occasionally beef, chicken and fish. I have followed this diet religiously and my HbA1c checked only yesterday is 5.2.
