He goes into detail about what he does in the chiropractic clinical setting to bridge the gap from back pain to return to sport and/or activity.

One of the things they do at the chiropractic office is called a Selective Functional Movement Assessment. This helps to give them a roadmap as to how to get the patient back to sports or other activities. It covers mobility restrictions and stabilities patterns that are incorrect. It also helps direct your trainer.

The first thing that they look at in the Selective Functional Movement Assessment is the cervical spine. This helps them to evaluate mobility that leads to neck conditions, shoulder pain, back pain, and headaches.

Then they move on to the shoulder mobility, followed by testing the ability to touch one's toes and extended stretches. They also test hip stability.

Again all of these actions showcase mobility restrictions and stability that may be causing your lower back pain.
