Is it normal to be super bloated on a plant-based diet? Are you experiencing extreme bloating and want to know how to get rid of it? Then this is the video for you! In this video, I am going over 10 reasons why you're bloated and how to get rid of it!

Reasons for bloating
1. New to plant based diet (new work for digestive system).-Give it time, gets better
2. Coming from a past of restricted dieting. (Stomach is Adjusting to eating more food)-Consistency & patience is needed
3. Eating too quickly and chewing food enough. -Chew food slowly into a paste.
4. Not drinking enough water.- Drink lots of water to help food move through system. (1/2 body weight in ounces)
5. Lack of exercise. (Movement helps food to move and digest.)
6. Stress. (Blood flows away from digestive system when stressed.)-Destress and unplug everyday.
7. Chewing gum. (Swallowing air that gets trapped and triggers digestive to start working )-Don’t chew it.
8. Artificial sweeteners (causes bacteria in gut to become toxic, leading to bloating) Use fruit instead.
9. Too many cruciferous veggies. (Cause gas and bloating)- Be wary of the them.
10. Eating new foods. (Current diet determines bacteria in gut, don’t have the bacteria to digest the new food). Keep eating the food to develop the bacteria.
11. Beans. -Incorporate them slowly to build bacteria.(Make sure they are fully cooked., Can Take Beano to help with digestion.)
12. Breath mints (interfere with digestion). Don’t eat them.
13. Sensitivity to gluten.
14. Eating too much fiber. - Peel fruit and vegetables.
15. Raw foods (hard for body to digest.)-Fully cook vegetables.
16. Overthinking food choices.- Don’t stress about your food.

The chewing the food to a paste is excellent advice, when I started eating kale & broccoli often I bloated so bad, when I began eating the foods more mindfully and not just chewing 4 times, big difference I barely get any bloat.

Oh my goodness thank you so much for this video, I started a plant base life style over a week ago after doing Keto for 2 years. And yes I have been feeling so bad, bloated all the time. But I won't stop. I am afraid to gain all the pounds I lost doing keto. And after reading all the "benefits" of a high fat diet, not eating fat is kind of crazy. But PB sounds so much healthier.

Head Hunnie!!!! I’m always feeling so bloated and my tummy is hard!! I have been battling this for a few months and can’t understand what’s going on! I am going to get some Beano hopefully
That will help. This is my fourth day on switching to a plant-based diet. I’m trying to give myself some time and drink plenty of water. I know sometimes I eat too fast because my husband does and I just try to keep up but I told him he was my downfall ha ha. Good luck out there hunnies!!!

Great video! I definitely do most of these 😂. One thing I found very helpful is eating less food at a time but more often. Huge volumes of food at once will bloat me for sure! I don't have much time to eat (I have 2 small kids) and if I have a lot volume there is a big chance I'll eat very fast!

I was glad to be single when I transitioned to WFPB 😅 For about 2 months, the bloating was horrendous. Nowadays, I’m more likely to get gassy and look pregnant when I ingest fats, like when I eat at restaurants. My tummy will tell me if the food I ate had fat in it. Still, I’ve to be careful with cruciferous veggies. Eating them steamed or sautéed seem to help with digestion.
