If you are brand new to intermittent fasting or have been doing it for a while, let me be an encouragement to you. I did this for three months, my A1C and other blood work got better! I lost some weight, slower, but it's me, my age, etc. I went off it for 5 weeks over summer vacation (work for school system) and OH MY what a difference. Energy went down, weight creeping back, bloating, sleep, all of it changed back to old habits. So glad I'm back on it. You are honest and telling us the truth on this 16:8 it works.

Your story is so similar to mine! However I'm 73, very healthy but could not budge 5 in a decade. Very disciples with workouts and food. One year ago I began IF and am down 25#s! August 1was my one year fastriversary. And, this was far easier and more comfortable than any weight watcher program I've ever done. I will never go back to not doing intermittent fasting. I'm not on any meds at my age except for any occasional muscle relaxer. I am grateful to Jesus for leading me to find this wonderful way of eating! I generally do 19/5. Thank you for your testimony, Sandy!

Thank you for sharing. I started intermittent fasting last year and have lost almost 40 pounds. I'm like you I don't count calories, but I do eat healthy. I have a major sweet tooth so trying to cut out sugar is difficult. I satisfy my sweet tooth by eating berries. Can't wait to have my blood work done and see what my A1c has gone down to. I am feeling so much better and like you the pain in my joints has gone away.

Everything you said was spot on. I'm 18 months in. 80% reduction in medication and may soon go completely off them. 50+lbs off. Ran 3 5ks at 61 yrs old... I plan on doing this the rest of my life.

Thanks Sandy! I actually started juicing yesterday. I'm only doing it for 7 days to kickstart my weight-loss and then moving into intermittent fasting. Thank you for your encouragement and for your meal videos. It will definitely help me! ❤️

I read Gen Stevens book thanks to you. After coming down 10lbs. I wasn’t as careful paying attention to my intermittent eating times (I like to say eating as opposed to fasting) anyway to take a positive spin on the fact that intermittent eating/fasting does work I proved it when I gained almost all of the weight back when I wasn’t paying attention to my start and ending times! I’m going to dust off Gen‘s book right now and I’m going to re-read it with a highlighter in hand. I need to get back to my regularly scheduled eating times! Thank you again for sharing this information it really needs to be talked about more!!!🎉❤😊

You look fabulous Sandy ❤ I've been doing IF 16/8 since February, my weight loss journey has been slow but like you I didn't need to lose a lot of weight. I was 121 and went up over 134, now I'm about 128. Like your thumb, I had a sore toe daily, it doesn't hurt anymore, and it was 24/7. I learn about all the health benefits above and beyond the weight loss and I'm definitely sticking with it. I'll be 66 next week and I'm active and eat really good foods, my mother taught me how to eat when I was young and I'm blessed to enjoy the healthy foods. I bake my own sourdough bread and pita etc... also. Thanks for the update ❤

Kudos Sandy🎉

Healthy, moderate adherence, bottom line; it works. So many people eat thoughtlessly without realizing the possibility of better choices, optimum health benefits.

Great video! Congratulations! I wanted to share something I heard recently that may help anyone with the hunger pains when they're starting. I heard of a minister that fasted often for spiritual reasons. And he said he would chew ice because it tricked the brain into thinking he was eating. I was curious so I wanted to try it. Well, I wasn't going to chew Ice because that's really bad for your teeth but I thought, what if I just act like I'm eating? So I just chewed and swallowed like I was eating and it really worked! I've used this a couple of times now. Just something that I heard about, I know it sounds goofy but, if it helps someone get started with intermittent fasting then it's worth it. 🙂
