You're correct, Bernie's new role as chair of the health, education, labor, and pensions committee is hugely influential. The other day he got Moderna to nix their plan to raise prices for their vaccine (the development of which was heavily subsidized by taxpayers) by 300% just by threatening to call their executives to testify.

Not going to lie, I would happily trade Bernie for this clown any day. Rather silly to assume Bernie would've lost when he had so many ordinary people supporting him. I bet there were plenty who voted for Biden specifically to repudiate Trumpism, so it didn't necessarily matter who the Democratic candidate was at that point.
