I also watched Question Time and was very very surprised at Wes Streeting. After the brazen trick that Keir Starmer played on the Labour Party to ensure his election, Wes Streeting obviously knows what works. He's learned the dark arts of pretence well. Anyone listening to him and not realising the background to how Keir Starmer achieved his position would have been very impressed with Streeting's caring common sense attitude to what any worker must do to negotiate a fair deal in their work contract. Employers should understand this as they negotiate their contracts with suppliers. It's a respectable means of getting a fair deal for both parties. It's not a crime to be in a union, it's a sensible and vital precaution for workers. However, Labour supporters have been cruelly misled in the past and now there is a chance of a vacancy at the top if Keir Starmer were to step down, it would be very cynical indeed if a 'would be' future leader were to attempt to pull off a further masquerade on Labour followers by using the same imposter trick.

Seeing this on Question Time the other night, I was immediately taken aback by it. What? West Streeting is saying this? But then I thought "Hold on..."

Also, anyone noticed how the left barely ever get a look in on Question Time or anywhere else on the BBC nowadays? Just Tories, IEA types and centrists. The left are almost completely 'othered'. Just one illustrative instance - how long has Sharon Graham been UNITE General Secretary? Has she been on QT even once? Not once to my knowledge.
