I think you've got a fair point when you refer to the Tories and Labour as 'the UniParty'. On one side we have the Tories saying "Privatise, privatise, privatise!" and on the other side we have Labour saying "Don't renationalise, don't renationalise, don't renationalise!".
You don't even 'pays your money, you takes your choice' we now have the money taken and have no choice.
Over the last 40 or so years, probably longer, we've lost our ability to even IMAGINE any alternative to 'the way it is', and any attempt to do so is condemned by all sides as "Hopelessly naive."
Not just doomed, but Damned.
