The Labour Party doesn't have to pretend to be on the side of the many, now that Starmer is the Establishment's choice for PM because he's more authoritarian rightwing than many Tory MPs, in goose-step with the increasingly authoritarian US and EU etc. Out of 650 MP’s, Starmer was the only one invited to become a member of the US rightwing neo-con's Trilateral Commission which explains how Starmer went from becoming an MP in 2015 to Labour leader in 5 years with the help of state broadcaster BBC etc.
