I really appreciate you mentioning where my childhood traumas got activated during this relationship. I realized that at the beginning of the devaluating face I fought back for me and my kids but for some reason after that I decided to stay and try to please him as hard as I could. After 12 yrs I realized I live with a narcissist and I am working on myself to recover and leave. Finally I accept I cannot change him and that I need help to heal.

I have a question. Are there 2 personalities in a narcissistic person. Are they the nice love bomber that they lead people to believe they are? Or are they really the mean, thieving, and cruel person who they show you later in the relationship? Who are they really? It seems to me there can be 2 personalities.
