I’ve only realized less than a year ago that my mom is a covert narcissist. Forever I used to dismiss the fact my mom made so many negative comments about me wearing make up. It’s only recently I realized she was putting me down and happier when I was “uglier” because she was jealous and competing with me. The way she's jealous and envious of me is my confidence. She doesn't understand me and why I am the way I am, which is fine.
