Meats. Often the centerpiece of the meal, meats offer a certain nutritional profile that is very difficult to impossible to replicate without them. Not all meats are created equal though. Today we will be breaking down their nutritional profiles to see which ones you should be building your meal plan around, and which ones are best left on the shelf.

All nutrient data is pulled from the USDA's National Nutrient Database for Standard Reference.

I tried to cover the most popular meats on this list. Let me know if there are any others you would like me to cover should I ever make a part 2!

now this is how you make a great, highly informative, and memorable tier list 👌

Definitely need a starch video for rices, pastas, breads, tortillas, etc. Also dairy products for types of cheeses, milks, yogurts, etc.

Okay but with the meats you ranked lower you forgot to factor in how good they taste

I think you're the first nutritionist to actually discuss the fatty chain lengths and the different effects it has on us. Instant like and a sub!

I will now base my entire life based on this tier list

When I first saw the title of the video, I thought "is this a reupload?" But nope, it is a revisited version of the original. Way more foods included, and way more detailed. Only a person truly passionate enough about his or her craft would care enough to redo something that has already been done. Hats off to that!

Its crazy how well this format works to give important details in a retainable manner in something so complex as nutrition. I look forward to more of these as someone who lives off fast food and doesnt know the first thing about nutrition. You did an awesome job of explaining each of these. Hope to see more!

I appreciate that you repeat what these nutrients are good for. Especially for people relatively new to nutrition there's so much information crammed into a 30 min video that there's a good chance you won't retain it all but with you repeating yourself over and over again it helps those bits of information to really stick around in your head. Thank you for all this free information <3

I greatly appreciate how you kept on repeating what each vitamin or mineral do and overall everything, you kept on repeating it and it makes it a very memorable list to forgetful people like me, thank you for putting such dedication ❤

This has to be the best and most straightforward YouTube channel about different food types and nutrition..

I got diagnosed with alpha gal recently and was already type 1 diabetic so I was on a meat heavy diet. This has helped me understand the benefits I can still get from seafood and poultry while being aware of what I might need to adjust for without mammal products. Glad I already like eggs! I'm no health nut, just a guy who likes to eat food. This has still been super informative and fun, great content!

I have some ideas for more awesome videos like this one!(Tier lists)
1)Types of nuts
2)Types of oils (Here you can include the heating sizzling points etc...)
3) All types of milks
4) The most popular forms of cardio
5)All popular packaged foods
6) Most popular fast food chains

I really have been loving your videos since the first one! keep it up man!

The fact that I’m a **picky** eater but absolutely love all the top tier meats is a very happy coincidence for me! Except liver, I absolutely hate it. And it’s very nice to see shrimp and canned tuna rating high.

Im glad you talked about Bison, for whatever reason I don’t see a lot of people talking about it when imo it’s one of the best meat sources out there, and Costco has some pretty solid deals on it. You can get 2.5lbs for $20, whereas Safeway sells 1lb for $12.99

Since it’s pretty close in it’s protein quantity to chicken and depending on how you cook it can be lower in calories (which is all I care about in my diet, low cals and high protein. I eat a lot of different vegetables that make up for most other vitamin deficiencies) personally I put it as S tier and chicken at A tier

This is exactly the kind of nutritional content that I've been looking for

If there ever was a takeaway from this video is that Selenium acts as an antioxidant.

But seriously now, this is very interesting and definetly makes me rethink some options and what I might add to my nutrition, thanks Talon
