1. During meals consume some type of lean protein. When eat protein you get a temporary rise in your metabolism by 15-30%. Additionally, protein helps you feel more full and prevents you from overeating.
2. Ditch the soda and even the Sports Drinks. Many sports drinks are loaded with sugar and barely any electrolytes and if you’re workout is light you don’t need to replace electrolytes. You’re better off drinking cold water. Sugar=calories and when you drink water you automatically decrease your calorie intake.
3. Drinking water also boosts your metabolism. Studies have found that drinking 17 ounces of water which is 0.5 liters, increases your resting metabolism by 10-30% for about an hour. PRO TIP: Drink cold water for even more calorie burning. This is because by drinking cold water your body has to work harder to regulate your body temperature back to normal. Also if you drink water half an hour before eating this will help feel more full and eat less.
4. HIIT IT: I’m sorry to break it to you but walking alone is not going to help you lose a lot of weight. Don’t get me wrong walking is better than not walking any day but there’s a more efficient way to maximize your workouts. HIIT stands for High Intensity interval training and its when you workout by using quick but intense bursts of activity. It can help you burn more fat by increasing your metabolic rate even after you finish working out. PLEASE WARM UP BEFORE YOU DO THIS.
5. Lift weights: Cardio is great for your heart health but it will take more than cardio to help you boost your metabolism. Before I became a personal trainer I mistakenly thought that if I wanted to lose weight I would just need to do more cardio. I was so wrong. I can tell you that when I solely did cardio I barely lost any weight. That all changed when I learned one huge hack to losing weight involved lifting weights. The truth is that muscle burns more calories than fat.

I had a really fast metabolism when I was a child, but I then developed Agoraphobia after a traumatic experience and started gaining weight. I started eater better and working out regularly 4 months ago and I’ve only lost 5 pounds, which probably proves that my metabolism is slower than average. I have another 44 pounds to go before I reach my goal. I’m not going to give up ❤ thank you for the video!

I'm a 17 year old male and am trying to lose weight I eat 1800-2000 calories a day and I do 1 hour of cardio 30 minutes in the morning then 30 in the evening is this good for weight loss

I hate fast metabolism so much I’m been trying to gain 30 pounds for like 6 months now. and nothing works I eat until I throw up, And that still didn’t work I’m 17 I don’t think it slowing down at all. And other thing my stomach is 8 percent fat like I’m just exhausted like come on I have to eat every 1 and a half hour I hate it so much.
