Help your stiff hips with bone on bone hip arthritis become looser so you can stand and walk easier.

These 4 stretches are part exercise too. That’s because stretches alone are not enough to get the best mobility in your hips. These are more stretches than exercises and they are not very tiring at all.

These stretches are a great place to start if you’re finding us for the first time. But don’t count on these to cure your hip arthritis. It took you years to get it, so it’s likely going to take you months to years to fix your hips if the joint is not too far gone.

We’ve got many videos with exercises, tips and advice on how to help your bone on bone hip arthritis.

Hi David, my name is Bob Lappin and I am an 81 year old male with a right hip replacement 2o years ago. Recently my left hip has caused a lot of pain and difficulty walking. I was thinking replacement 2 coming up. I found your bone-on-bone video and have been doing it for a number of days. It worked with me like a charm and in a few days I could walk without pain for at least 20 minutes. I plan to continue doing the exercises, but would like to do more strengthening. You mentioned you had some in your videos down below but I can’t find them. Could you point them out please. I want to thank you so much for your help which I will continue to use. My spirits have been lifted enormously. Thanks again and thank you for your generosity. Peace and gratitude, Bob Lappin

I just found your video after searching for the best stretches for hip arthritis. You are a godsend. This pain in my right hip has gotten awful. I had 1 cortisone shot and it didn't work for more than 3 weeks. I don't want replacement surgery. I saw your video that tells the 2 warning signs that replacement surgery might be needed and I'm not in that category thank God. So I've already started doing your stretches. Thank you so much for the video that tells me what stretches not to do. Much Gratitude to you.❤

Hi Dr David.. I saw your channel right after I came home from my Ortho doctor appointment. I have osteoarthritis on my right hip.. been in pain for a while now. I’m so glad I found your channel. Aside from your helpful information, you are very thorough and you hit the right spots where to concentrate on hip exercises. More power to you for sharing your knowledge to your viewers to relieve our pains. Thank you so much. May God bless you always.

Thank you for your videos. I am a 53 y.o. male and have had hip arthritis since I was in my late 20's. Only after 2 weeks of doing your stretches I feel much better and I look forward to moving and walking. I was always trying to exercise to relieve my pain but no one ever told me what muscle (the butt muscle) to stretch and strengthen before like you advice. I am schedule for a hip replacement in 2 years but I now believe I won't need it. Thank you!

So I found these videos.
This makes day 6 for me. I have been doing the glute exercises throughout the whole day. When I walk I focus on squeezing my glutes.
And today holding on to my rails I was able to use my right leg going up the steps and it's been one year and a half since I've been able to do that.
I am so thankful I found these videos they are really helping.
Thank you so much Dr David.

Dr. David, thanks for your stretches for bone on bone arthritis! I've been doing some of these when I get up in the morning, on my bed.
At times when it's too painful I try to analyze what I ate.
Again thank you and God bless!

Hey, Dr. David, thank you for taking time out of your busy days to produce these videos. I do have right hip arthritis, and I'm going to give these exercises a go. I don't like to exercise on the floor or on a bed, so I bought one of those tables you're using. I really like it!

Hi, I don't have arthritis but I did have an acetabular fracture due to hard knee impact in an accident, requiring some gnarly reconstructive hip and pelvis surgery on the dislocated side. Experienced much asymmetrical muscle atrophy during recovery and still have pain long after. Am finding your videos/ exercises very helpful with this, much more so than anything physical therapists have coached me toward. Am learning here to be more gentle to myself. Grateful for what I'm finding here, thank you!

Your exercise saves my life, especially the butt squeeze exercise in the other video. The butt squeeze instantly gives me so much pain relief. I was diagnosed with hip dysplasia. Why do you think the butt squeeze works so well? And what other stretches that are similar to butt squeeze I can do?

Thank you for these very helpful stretches. I appreciate the speed and the details of each movement. They are very helpful in relieving the stiffness of my hips - which at this point of my arthritic hips journey is a very welcome relief.

Thank you for bringing attention to popping /clicking sound in joint. I only have this if I stand on my right leg while trying to put on pants without holding on to something. it does not hurt but I wondered about it. I am going to start the exercise regimen that you suggest. Your presentation is clear and very helpful.

I'm watching your excellent videos with their complete descriptions and demonstrations. My hip developed muscle imbalance from life circumstances causing emotional trauma, severe grief and sleep deprivation for over a year. (Yes, severe stress can mess up your muscles). So, I'm glad I found your videos. I've tried what you put out here in this video and ....wow.... fine results! Thank you. Look forward to learning more from you.
