The Butcher Box 📦

This is an amazing exercise for improving overhead shoulder mobility. The version demonstrated here is a PNF (proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation) technique, which involves contracting and relaxing muscles. This signals the body to open up while building strength at the same time.

👇 Here are the steps👇

1. Start by placing your hands shoulder-width apart on a stick with palms facing up. The wider your grip, the easier it will be.

2. Position your elbows on the edge of the box with your hips directly over your knees.

3. Optional: Bring the stick towards your back to stretch the triceps.

4. Contract: Engage your abs, round your spine, and press firmly with your elbows towards the box (try to feel your lats engage). Exhale during this motion.

5. Relax: Release your abs, allow your chest to sink, and let your shoulders open up. Inhale during this motion.

6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 for 3-5 cycles, and hold the relaxed position at the end for an additional 20-30 seconds.

Amazing😮 instant release. 25x followed by ditto triceps ext, same pose but level up the lower back. Then raise torso and hip hike and shoulder rise same side, feet to the grund. Works wonders for me, i'll do this for the next week and report back
