Elia and helena had the worst fate in the war, they both wasn't loved by thier husbands, and got cheated on, Helena sister was her enemy and elia family was away from her, they both lost thier children Infront of thier eyes in the most horrible way, and they both didn't had any part in the war that they were tortured in, elia wanted to leave Kingslanding but the mad king didn't allow it and helena hadn't fought her sister or her uncle even though she had the third largest dragon and she could have harm them badly .

Tywin basically did what Walder Frey did, but when he felt he was safe, he took the initiative and went all in.

What gets me is how he essentially unchained a young Gregor clegane & let that man continue on brutalizing everything in his path.
Im not sure if by this time in the lore he already murdered his own father and took his house for himself. But Tywin needed his mad dogs to do his bidding for him

I knew this and I always knew even when Tywin is first introduced that this character was smart but his bark was worse than his bite, which he didn't even have to begin with.

For how smart they depict tywin in the books and the show you would have thought that Tywin would have used Rhaegar children to hold power. You wouldn't expect him to have them brutally killed and then kneel to Robert Baratheon. He could have sieged the capital and said that he was acting as guardians or whatever they call it for the rightful ruler of the seven kingdoms until he comes of age.
