He didn’t love shae, the woman he loved was the commoner girl he married when he was young the one Tywin had all his troops rape. Jaime tells him the truth about her not being a whore and that she really did love him when letting him out of prison. That’s why he kills his father and who he means when he tells Tywin he loved her. Book wise at least.

I think it’s worthy to note that book Tyrion knew it was all an act from Shae, being that’s what he asked her to do, but didn’t really want to think about it. Shae never really had feelings for him, just his wealth.
