After some of the trauma I been through, I find some YouTubers have a voice that just make me happy inside...and you are one of them Scotty

Paying $81, 000 for a new F-150 is just absurd. Maybe that's why so many of them are just sitting on the lots. Now Ford is going with the cylinder deactivation on the V-8s so I think I'll pass on that. I think I'll just get one that's older and not run down or rusted out.

I owned one Ford, it was a 1981 F-150 w/ the 300 cid straight six 2 wheel drive. Had that truck for 12 years.

auto stop is annoying, I disabled it.

One of the first things i did on my 2018 f150 5.0 is disable that Auto Start/Stop in the computer. Drove me insane having to turn it off every time I started the truck. FORSCAN is a beautiful thing when you own a F150.

Yes, I bought a 2017 Ford lariat loaded with a 5.0 6 speed transmission and I’ve had no trouble out of it. It’s a good truck. It runs good I get good gas mileage on the highway unless I’m sticking my foot in it. I’m not gonna pay $60-$80, 000 for a pick up truck that ain’t gonna happen.

In late 2022, I bought a 2013 F150 Supercrew 4X4 with a 5.0 Coyote. Amazing trucks. Plan to keep it until I die.

I have a 2016 2.7 ecoboost with 180, 000 miles (15% dirt road miles) and it’s been an excellent pickup. Zero issues. It runs like a top.

I have a ‘19 F150 with the 3.5 eco boost since new. Best vehicle ever. Oil gets changed every 5, 000 miles.

our Ford dealership can’t keep an owner. They keep selling it within a year or two of buying it. It’s been through at least three owners in the past five years.

Funny that this video was put out today. I just bought the exact same one today with the 5.0 in it lol 😅 I’m with Scotty on this one. If you’re gonna get a truck, get one with a V8. They’re much more dependable than a Turbocharged V6. So far, it’s a damn decent truck. Just what I expected.

My 2011 3.5 ecoboost has 140k miles on it, and I pray every day that I don’t find a new problem lol

I still drive the 2009 F150 w/ 5.4 that I bought new 15 years ago. It’s still a great truck and I’m light years ahead of the game $$$ wise on it. I’m pretty sure I’ll easily get another 10-15 years out of it if I want.

As time goes on my 93' F250 with the 5.7 L engine looks better and better. All cast iron engine and very little electronics. It would repay to just rebuild and repair anything that goes bad rather than buy one of the new nightmare over complicated trucks. I bought it new in 1993 for $15, 600. My only regret is that I didn't buy two!

My nephew had a Ford F-150 he got in 2021 with the Ecoboost 6 cylinder engine in it. The motor is listed at having all types of power but he had a 2011-2012 or so F-150 with the V8 and that older Ford was much better to drive and ride around in. The only Ford 6 cylinder I ever had any use for was the old 300 inline 6 cylinder. You weren't going to win any races with it, but it would go for 200-300K without any problems.

That's why I bought my '16 F-150 with the 5.0 and the 6 spd auto. Pretty much bulletproof. Oh, and I routinely get 22 mpg with no 10 sp issues.

I got a 2022 3.5 eco boost and love it so far. Bought brand new now with over 35, 000 miles. No issues so far. Had a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 with the 5.3 v8. Nothing but issues. Had the whole rear replaced under warranty luckily. It had 16, 000 miles. Yikes.
