Adam at about 12:35 nails it right on the head. Fitness experts need to talk to the average person who they are trying to help, not outdo each other. Why I never miss an episode/podcast. Bravo keep this shit up!

I agree with this strategy. Pros: Mental diet break. Allows for more relaxed social weekends. Cons: You need strong mental restrain to not go off the rails and binge. But I do like this approach.

Sounds like, "Bro Science", is actually pretty advanced. Great commentary.

my appetite has always fluctuted, I agree, in a week have days when you eat in a surplus, have days when your at maintnince, and have days at a cut. It's easier to maintain, and if your consistant for months, your appetite and metabolism will change lol. If your like me and workout 5-7 days a week it helps out alot lol, rather than making it more strict. takes the pressure away from dieting honestly, because you control it. And as always eat real food, not fast food.

This video is gold, Reason being its the best approach for long term results as well as keep your metabolism high and balancing of hormones, Bro science in this case works absolutely, I am doing this approach and I love it and I see better fat loss affects, you just have to ensure you dont make scale as your biggest judge as on your higher carb days you will weigh a bit more coz of water weight so you have to understand this concept and take it as long term approach, as you guys say as long as your strength goes up and your weight is in range of 3-5 pounds in week time, you should be good, if it is higher at end of week it means you need to check your total calori intake. Thank you Mind pump family, This was one of the best 15 minutes video with Gold standard content! Love yall

I Love doing ADF, . I use it to lose pounds of Fat with no lean mass lost.
I eat 0 - 500 calories on Fast day and 125% - 150% maintenance on eat days. If your like me and cant stand daily cal restriction and eating small meals this is for you.

I do this approach, and it’s more sustainable to me. Only hard part with nutrition for me is when I’m going on extended vacations of upwards of 4-7 days or longer. It’s hard to both not overdo it too much and hard to get back on my diet routine after a long vacation . Fortunately, I only take one long vacation a yr and several 3 to 4-day weekend vacations a yr.

What's helped me with my weight loss plateau has been water fasting. I was working out and eating in a deficit and i was staying at 200 for a while, i started fasting and I'm now 190. For me fasting is more efficient for fat loss.

You really do miss the inside jokes when you only listen to the podcast and don't watch on YouTube. That "sportsball" Jersey is hilarious 😂 and the Lil sal in the chefs hat 😅😂

I find cheat days or refeed days are only a problem if you half ass them! You have to make sure you've got it out of your system, or into your system as the case may be. If you've done it right you'll find your hunger and cravings are less the next day.

This may be a silly question and im sorry if I've already missed the answer. Im just a little confused with caloric deficit. If my maintenance is 2000 and I eat that but workout and burn 300 calorie (for example) does that contribute to my caloric deficit or should i be eating less calories no matter if I work out or not??

The physiological phenomenon of G Flux

Been doing this over past several weeks and I’m actually leaner than I’ve been

I’ve upped my working out. Nothing crazy but just have added a bunch of steps daily. Have increased my intake to essentially maintenance of 3000 kcal daily

Used to aim for 2000-2500 previously and all I did was plateau and stall

Now with the G Flux, the scale isn’t necessarily moving, but my body comp changing. More muscular mass. Leaner looking.

I’ve noticed my hunger is increased, I’m presuming because of spike in metabolism?

But it’s weird, because sometimes if I go a little more to 3500-4000 kcal, the next day I swear I look leaner

just track your calories and give yourself a reasonable calorie goal, eat whole foods, sleep train... no big secret here.. simple but not easy

I like that they actually referenced the study. So often they say 'studies show' and it sounds made up even though it isn't

So should I keep around 70% deficite? (working out consistently)

So 5 days 60% around and then 1 day 110%?

freigeist

So for the average Joe like myself who loves to lift weights and workout can do this?

Cheat day is bad phrasing.
cheat meal is a bit better 1 meal you want and crave not the whole day.
