Do you guys recognize this animation /art style? It's in fact from our very first animator Joy Zhang. We manage to invite her back for another project. If you like to see more from her, leave a like or comment below so she knows :)

Another thing that causes you to be overly cautious is having a parent who has a short temper and you end up being afraid of doing anything that causes them to get mad at you. Then you end up fearing that anger.

This doesn’t always stem from parents. Could stem from bad childhood friends/ school environment/ older siblings/ people of authority.

There's also when you have short tempered parents. Throughout childhood my mom always yelled and yelled, which caused me to get social anxiety over loud noises or even hostility and violence when it comes to a person's behavior or voice.

*This kinda makes me scared to become a parent myself.*

Let’s see how much I’m gonna get called out-

It’s so difficult because I absolutely love my parents, but I still have to accept that my upbringing has left me with poor mental health. I feel bad even admitting this to myself, because of how my family might react, and that’s tough :(

“My parents are good parents, they couldn’t possible be the cause of my anxiety”
*Meets literally every single one*

My parents judge everything, EVERYTHING, I always hear my mom's voice in my head everytime I do something wrong or something she won't be proud of, it's actually a bit sad lol

The self criticism even extends to blaming myself for the anxiety!

You'll never know how much you've been damaged till you leave home, face the world alone then the things you used then as a balm, a defense will suddenly become your prison that you find almost impossible to overcome

"Do you relate to any of these signs?" Yes, all of them.

Psych2Go: Can you relate to any of these symptoms?

Me: *All of them.*

Edit: This is the most amount of likes I've ever got on a comment on YouTube, thank you! But I also want to say to just keep going, I've felt very suicidal for a long time but I'm hesitant to go through with it because I believe there's still always hope. Keep going and keep breathin' I'm also replying to the replies I get to just bring a smile to you all :)

The worst part about this is being trained to not talk about it. Anytime I would bring it up, people would constantly try to shift the blame around and deny it. I learned pretty quickly that speaking up led to getting mocked.
At least now, I'm kinda able to call people out for it.

“Do you relate to any of these signs?” More like all of them and that’s on #ChildhoodTrauma but hey now I have a sick ass sense of humor

This is also why I do not want to be a parent, I am afraid that my child would blame me if he or she develops anxiety as well.

I’ll never be able to tell my parents they were the main source of my current flawed self without a sarcastic guilt trip or having them ask me what all they should’ve done differently, or hear “what did we do that was so awful? You had a great childhood!” and “well I guess we’re just the world’s worst parents then, huh?”
I’m 26 and still harbor hatred for them for things they made me experience when I was prepubescent up until my early 20’s. Yet, we all presently carry on as if none of it happened, which is exactly what they wanted the whole time. Justification and forgiveness without cause or liability.
