Licensed therapist, Gabrielle Juliano-Villani, goes over seven possible signs of Relationship Anxiety and how to cope.

Relationship anxiety can plague anyone, and experiencing it doesn’t necessarily mean that you’re in a bad relationship. Oftentimes, fear and worry stem from not wanting to go through a breakup or being reluctant to be vulnerable due to previous hurts, like if you’ve been cheated on in the past.

Here are seven signs you may be experiencing relationship anxiety :

1. Fear of Commitment & Vulnerability

2. Ending Relationships Before They Become Serious

3. Not Expressing Your Needs & Desires Because You’re Fearful That They Will Leave

4. Questioning Your Partner’s Motives

5. Doubting You & Your Partner’s Compatibility

6. Overthinking Your Partner’s Words & Actions

7. Spending More Time Worrying Than Enjoying the Relationship

Everyone deserves to experience the benefits of improved mental health and emotional wellness. If you're ready to take the next step in your journey, here are some helpful resources from Choosing Therapy.

I experienced all those and it led to pushing her away. Beating myself up for it now.

I have come across ROCD (relationship anxiety disorder) and it fits the bill. Have done a lot of work on attachment in myself but seems to have gone on steroids since starting an amazing healthy relationship. Which I'm concerned will become unhealthy with my obsessive anxiety around it.

Where to go for help? Im in the UK and cant find any therapists who work with ROCD, or relationship anxiety. Any tips on where I could find some support would be really helpful!
Thanks!
