CATHOLICS WORSHIP IDOLS! Really?

If you are catholic, you probably get called an idol worshipper more times than you care to count. Many non-Catholics believe that what they call worship is the biblical standard... so who is right? Let's take a look at history and Scripture to find out.

This video is fire Daniel! 💯💯💯

Shout it from the rooftops! Christians have lost touch with WHAT worship is if they are not Catholic or Orthodox.

Great video!

In my experience, I find those that hurl those accusations are intellectually dishonest.

You would think that when you accuse another of something you'd do the responsible thing and research primary sources- but that is rarely the case.

Instead, they regurgitate tired old talking points.

Your video is concise and to the point- thank you!

Hi Daniel. Thank you for being a great lay apostolate. I truly appreciate you illustrating the importance of the Jewish roots of Catholicism! Keep up the good work!

There is nothing Protestants do that equates to worshiping God ONLY that all humans don't already do to honor, cheer, comfort or encourage living human beings eg singing/bands/dancing/prayer. Even prayer, pastors emphasize that prayer just means "talk to."

This is a relief to be honest. I have a Jewish friend who's family is affiliated to Messianic Judaism and he was very curious about our Catholic faith (eg. confession with priests etc) and I'm happy that I stumbled into this because at least I can better explain to him about the veneration of saints in our faith. Thank you so much! ❤

First time seeing one of your videos and brilliantly done!👏 As an older cradle Catholic, it's one of the best I've seen explaining our worship differences, and I'm absolutely thrilled to see it come from a member of the younger generation!!!❤
God bless you and everyone! ✝️🙏

To those who are trying to rebut Daniel, he was a Jewish as well as a Protestant which enabled him to look at Christianity from multiple perspectives which is also known as Syntopical learning or syntopical reading - the most advanced form of learning

It enables him to evaluate between different ideas to come to a solid conclusion by analysing the Big Picture itself

This idea is mentioned in Learning Science, you can learn more about this from Dr Justin Sung (10 years experience as learning coach) 🙏🙏🙏

Wasnt too long at all
It’s very informative
It’s the feast day of st Jerome tmoro
I’m listening to you from South Africa
Loved this talk
And YES. I have been called an idolator and a statue worshiper and I’ve even been called a cannibal and I’m just tired of always trying to explain
It somehow always lands up in an argument
Thank you Daniel and God bless you 🙏🏻

Great video, brother! I have a couple of questions, probably related.
The first is about the teraphim, why didn't God condemn Micah for making them and using them for priestly worship? Were teraphim actually the same as pagan idols or something else?
Second question, what are exactly the Urim and Thumim? We know they used to make decisions using them to get an answer from God (correct me if I'm wrong please). But how were they used? The Bible doesn't give any indication of that.
When I read Scriptures carefully and try to picture the things written and what people were doing, how things might've looked, again, solely based on the Bible's descriptions, I see that ancient Judaism, and the daily lives of ancient Jews, are different from what we commonly think in popular culture

I always tell my students: "Those who define your words, define your reality.'

Currently the word "love" is undergoing a change from the post-hippy era redefinition.

In the last 60 years the word "food" has been redefined due to the food industry trying to sell us as "food" what our ancestors would never considered as such

Words' definitions are alwys undergoing changes, some adapting new elements while dropping others.

That is why those who approach the Bible as it was written in contemporary English would miss a lot.

The idea that worship is only singing would be foreign to ancient Jewish ears who understood that you need an altar, an animal victim and a priest to do that.

And the early Christians understood that. That is why St. Paul compared the Table of the Lord with the Table of the Demons, the place where both a sacrifice takes place.

Hi, Daniel!
You mean TRANSUBSTANTIATED instead of BLESSED bread and wine.
Yes, I’ve read both books that you mentioned and they are outstanding!
God bless!

Orthodox brethren should be lucky they do not get as much flak as Catholics do

God commanded Moses to make a statue of a serpent (Numbers 21:7-8). He also commanded the making of cherubim, a holy man, and a lion (Ezekiel 41:18-19; Exodus 25:19-20). In 2 Kings 3:15-19, a prophet did not destroy a holy image of another prophet who had prophesied the destruction of idols of the Israelites.

Please identify which images are considered unholy and holy, as God has given you the intellect to understand the context of the Bible. Why did God command prophets to carve images when He Himself made the Ten Commandments, including the first commandment which states, "Do not worship idols or carve them, " for He is a jealous God? If that is your argument, then God made a huge mistake. However, He did not. At that time, the Israelites (Jewish people) worshipped idols and considered them as gods, which is why God became angry with them. He instructed His prophets to make a church with many images of cherubim, a holy man, and a lion. He made no mistakes at all; only other sects made a big mistake by thinking that we, Catholics, disobeyed God's commandments.

I watched a video where a Catholic pointed out how americans treat their flag on events like funerals of soldiers and then said: "If that flag would be Mary, they would call this out."
