Yes we need a Wataburger! But Charlottesville does have some fantastic restaurants, I gained 20 pounds after moving here from Texas. (The summers here are a joy, it is all relative). I agree that the traffic and cost of living is high in Charlottesville. When we moved to the area 10 years ago the housing cost was bad so we moved 20 miles out where it was more reasonable.

Lived in Cville for many years after coming from Fairfax County. Traffic? Charlottesville has NO traffic. And $70 or $80k income necessary for a single person if you wish to live more than a marginal lifestyle. Ratchet that up if you have a family. She's right about the weather; brutal summers, suffocatingly hot without a breeze.

It's so beautiful there. I live halfway between Richmond and Charlottesville, i often contemplate moving to Charlottesville but my landscape company is in Richmond area unfortunately, i will eventually move out there with you

I lived there for many years, , , I never really cared for Charlottesville...it just seemed so bizarre to me, after having grown up on Long Island...I live in the Tampa Bay area now and I really love where I live!

I live in Troy. I moved to this area in 2005 and Red Lobster has been here that entire time. They did abandon one location and build a new one.
That one tid bit tells me I do not want to hire you.

Pam, i relocated here from NJ. I find the Summer weather not too much different from NJ.
The winters are much milder, which i love.
Compared to NJ, outside of gas, thd CoL is much more reasonable.
I live in greene co and love the area
