I'm Japanese but I've been living in Idaho for over 40 years. I went to colleges, got married with an Idahoan, and a son. It took me 3 years to get used to it because I'm from a big city in Japan. After I got used to it and made local friends, it became a heaven. I used to live in the small towns but now I live in the capitol of Boise. Low crime rate, dry and comfortable climate, wilderness for camping and all sorts of sports just outside of Boise. We, Idahoans, do not like outsiders who bring tons of money to buy a mansion and look down on us (esp Californians).Too bad all those used to be farms and pastures are disappearing very quickly.

I live in northern Idaho and it's all true. Hiking with people who run more slowly than you do is very important in Grizzly country.

In my town we have a Walmart and thats our high end store, we drive 20 year old cars in 3 feet of snow and heat our houses with wood stoves while polising our guns. We love this life!

Moved from Silicon Valley to Boise 6 months ago and it’s the best decision we have ever made! Absolutely love Idaho. Very clean, safe and overall great quality of life!

Just don’t move here if your liberal we don’t want the blue cancer that is destroying California!
