Dear Maddie, the last question was actually my question. Your thorough answer almost moved me to tears. I really felt like you were talking directly to me (I mean you were) and I needed it so much. I have no one to keep me accountable at the moment and so your step-by-step advice was truly a bigger blessing than you could imagine. Loved the video! Also, staying pure also has practical reasons. STDs are rampant, and some of them have no cure. If someone were to be active sexually, then they might get one. Condoms don’t protect from every disease. This could be a deal breaker for any future spouse, whether they’re Christian or not, because the disease might transfer to them in intercourse. I’ve known many heart broken women who have lost out on good men for this reason. You don’t want to spoil yourself for your future Godly spouse. Also the spouse, guy or girl, might feel like you still might love an ex if you’ve slept around. There could be jealousy over a past that can’t be amended, or even simply a lack of trust. It’ll affect the way they think about you, which in turn affects the way a spouse could treat you. Again, I believe the Lord knew all this-the rules he gave humanity were to help us because He’s a deep thinker and a great King.

I love both of your hearts for Christ, it is so encouraging to see women take such a firm stance.
I just wanted to point out that telling people Jesus loves them and that He has a plan for their life is only half of the gospel. People aren't going to accept a cure if they think they are healthy. We must add in the law (10 commandments) to show people that they cannot be "good, " on their own and are in need of saving. They need to understand that if they face God on judgement day, He will find them guilty because He is just and will by no means excuse the guilty. But when we turn from sin, then believe Jesus died on the cross and was raised from the dead, then we shall be saved. We can't call ourselves Christians and then live in sin, this is hypocrisy. God is love, but He also is a righteous and just judge. The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. If we only appeal to people's will to live by saying Jesus can give them everlasting life, we will fill the church with false converts.
