I felt like the hip flexor stretch did an awesome job of “stretching” my “tight” hip flexors and the glute bridge was fantastic for “activating” my glutes.

Now while the rationale, thought process, and language has changed a lot over the years, the fact of the matter is I will still use this superset quite frequently to improve the position of the pelvis.

AND, perhaps more importantly, the exercises and cues I use to coach the exercises has changed a ton.

Pushing your heel back on the hip flexor stretch really works for me.
I've been following you since 2010 and I'm happy to see that you're constantly evolving and learning in order to teach us new things.

Nice video - shows how your training style has grown. I got into weight training in around 2004 and followed all the online guides I could at the time. All these years later I'm in chronic extension/pain and working on methods like you mention in this video/PRI activities to get back to normal. What do you think you might re-consider in 15 years from now?

Good stuff. I'll be adding that first one. Question though: What do you do when clients don't yet have that mind-muscle connection (or however you want to call it) and can't conciously engage their glutes?

Mike, i strained My left outer side of My glute yestetday When i trqined deadlift. What can i do to make it feel better?
