I’m here because I’m worry for a friend of mine, he definitly has some of all the signs and I’m worry people can easily take advantage for him in differents ways… I’m gonna share this with him. Hopping that can help to recognize himself or not.

Attachment theory is so flipping confusing to me. I used to be predominantly anxiously attached. However, after several years of therapy I’m now really practicing setting boundaries, speaking up about my feelings, and not people pleasing. I’m now experiencing more of an avoidantly attached relationship with moments of the anxious attachment peeking through if his communication changes. It’s the most bizarre thing.

Yeah the reassurance part and the boundaries part really hit home for me. I am TRYING to set boundaries but it is SO PAINFUL at times with the added feeling that boundaries have to be all or nothing. The reassurance has gotten a BIT better when I say affirmations. Mirrors help.

I have no idea what a good boundary is. Maybe I to go to a class called baby step boundaries.
