I use these all the time, and I personally think they're better than normal push-ups. I get more muscle activation that I feel the next day

I really enjoy your reviews of home workout equipment--honest, unbiased, and informative. I've had my Perfect Push-Ups for about 4 years and I love them. One thing that I will disagree with you on is the turning handles. You say it's a gimmick but I'd like to point out what's happening in your own video at around 2 minutes 25 seconds when you're doing the side-to-side push ups ... the handles are turning because it allows a more natural alignment of your wrists. Now maybe because you're a young dude, natural alignment of wrists isn't on your radar now, but I'm almost 73 years old and protecting these old geezer joints most definitely IS important.

Viewed your review on this product from prior video a few months ago. I have since purchased, and am very much happy with product. Thanks.

The rotation element is for protecting the shoulder / elbow from excessive pressure/ uncomfortable position. If you have a bad shoulder, you’d understand . This needs to be applied not only for pushups but for any arm movement . I use rotation with all my exercises and my bad shoulder feels fine (but it starts to hurt as soon as I do regular pushups / pull ups / rows, etc). I’m a big fan of hand rotation

You are so wrong about the rotation being a gimmick. The rotation allows your body to go through its natural range of motion which is to rotate as you extend your arms away from the body. This reduces the chance of injury or pain from impingement and strengthens your muscles throughout the proper range of motion that your body will go through in real life. If you want to know what a range of motion should look like watch a boxer throw a punch. The pinky finger starts on the inside and finishes on the outside and for that to happen the entire elbow and shoulder joints rotate close to 180° depending on where the punch started.

I used to use it with the rotating motions with my push ups. Great addition! Rotate outward when pushing up to activate more tricept groups. Rotate inward when back to your starting position

Excellent video, I use them. I usually do about 6-8, break, another 6-8, etc.

Usually do overall 25-50 per day.

I prefer beginning with them horizontal and vertical as I’m heading down and horizontal back up, but everyone has their own style.

I find them to be harden than a regular pushup and I feel it in more places. They are a great workout tool.

My wrists were always the weak link in my push up routine. Thanks to these, I can do push up workouts with abandon.

I bought these simply because I have played racquet sports my whole life; pro-am squash player, tennis, pickleball, etc...and over the years I developed bad wrist issues in right hand. These most definitely allow me to continue with push-ups without the constant wrist inflammations and other ailments, and I believe the turning handles may not be dramatic, but I believe it does work on the secondary & third, smaller muscles within the chest and other shoulder muscles. Certainly hasn't been less of a push-up device, and the wrist is still alright. Anyone with bursitis sacks or any wrist ailments will want these.

Thanks, I have these and you answered my question about whether the twisting action was useful or not. Thanks for the confirmation. : )

Great review. These definitely work more of your chest when you turn them inward and outward at the top, if you squeeze on the rotation.A good workout with the perfect push-up is count down from 20, 19, 18, all the way back to 1 and super set with body weight squats or lunges with the same reps as the push-ups.

hi thanks for the great stuff. is there a reason you use backpack instead of doing a decline pushup?
I got this for over 7 years, it works just as well as first day getting it. Incredible equipment & values for sure

I realized when I bought these that I was doing my push-ups all wrong before and I wasn’t going all the way down and getting that full extension. No wonder I was cranking out 500 push-ups. It was a struggle trying to get at least 100 with these things.
