Friend, I know you posted this 3 years ago, but look on YouTube. You'll see no one knows what they're talking about on this subject, or they don't try to tackle any of the issues we wonder about as we bounce down the road.
Could you make a more definitive explanation of how axle weights work? Like, are drop axles good idea? If I have 4 ft of extra frame on my tractor, am I better off installing a drop axle or cutting off the extra frame? We all wonder this stuff but on YouTube no one has a clue. Can you be over gross with spread axels?

If you can drive the tires will last on a spread and reefer ain't loaded to back all the time most of my beginning I had to draw the way I wanted it. Then I growed up I coast to coast don't go in scales it's money game not safety. Alot of years sometimes stuff not great but blizzards ice never crashed
