This footage is from roughly 3 years ago. I owned this 1986 Ford Mustang 5.0 for around 10 years and she was a great car.I had recently gone through a breakup and wanted to downsize a little bit so I decided to part ways with her. After being on Facebook marketplace and craigslist for a couple weeks the best offer I had was $2,000. I decided to split her down for parts to try and make more money. This video is the short story of that.

Should’ve waited. Fox mustangs are off the charts right now.

Where I live, that car would be worth $3200+ any day of the week, as long as it could pass a safety.
Ontario Canada.
Considering 3-4 years ago, I tried to buy an almost identical car, 86 5.0 Convertible Mustang, with a salvage ownership, it was at an auction and it went for over 5k plus fees.
Unfortunately for the people who bought it, it needed an additional 3k to get it to the point where it could be driven.
Unfortunately in the end, the car turned out to be unsafe for the road and no mechanic would safety it, the only reason why I know this information it ended up sitting at a friend's shop for over 2 years for sale, nobody would touch it after finding out its story, in the end I found out the owner took a huge loss on the car and they ended up selling it as a parts car.
Some information I knew about the car, the person who supposedly repaired it, was an unlicensed mechanic who worked as a high school shop teacher and basically hacked cars back together as a hobby and he ended up knowing people who could get him a safety when needed.

I had an 86 mustang with the 3.8 liter. Had many plans for it, but my mom sold it after I moved out. Didn’t even say anything to me. She probably got pennies for it.

Heart breaker, I wish I had never sold my 88 fox.

Cannot believe you couldn't get $3500 for it. I'd s**t if I came across that right now. I need to take the pressure off my f350 dually I've had for 21 years. My Dad's 95 f250 with 89k miles is 98% restored. I'd love to find a mustang for a daily driver. That would've been a great one.

I'd buy that for 3500 and I don't even have a use for it.
