Thanks for the tip on Harmonic balancer pulling using original bolt is slick bought DAYCO PB1084SS balancer SFI approved to 21000 rpm for my 5.0 won't worry about crankshaft now.

use a Melling standard volume oil pump. You shoulld also get an ARP oil pump shaft. I'd also replace the timing chain and gears as cheap insurance.

Hell yea making progress! The chain is 20 bucks might as well change it. Have the gt40 lower ported and throw that bad boy on the ssp.

My engine was clean like that after 180k so we didn't do much bottom end either, just a good honing and new bearings and seals. Great video dude!

You got lucky the crappy long water pump bolts didnt break. Mine did and sucked!! I bought new ones and scrapped the old ones
