5 Speed GT 5.0 Hatch. Four Eyed T-Top Car project.

This is the first! or series of videos dedicated to my 86 Mustang. The last year of the four eyed cars, the first year of the fuel injected 5.0. T-Tops and all. A car I've always wanted. I'll be bringing it back top life. I picked it up from a guy who didn't really want it :) This car needs love. We'll be getting back on the road, and hopefully one day putting go fast goodies on her. This is a brief part 1 of the car, stay tuned!

I had a 86 5.0 liter H.O. LX T top..it was listed at 200 to 210 hp..no fuel injection...it had very low miles no one ever touched the engine...I would bet any amount of money it had 250 or more horsepower...

9 years ago a coworker of mine sold me his 86 5.0 for 500 buck. Still ran pretty good. My mom ended up gettibg out of her yard after i went up to wisconsin to work for a few summer way back in 2011 and 2012. :'l

My mom owned a 86 hatchback and it was a gorgeous car until my dad drove it and ran the transmission out of it now it lays in a scrap yard 😔

Wow man bringing me back to school high school it is I had an 85 and yes 86 is the first year of fuel injection mine had a carburetor on it white with a black stripe down the hood can't go wrong with a Foxbody there so I conic

Just got my 86 GT for $700! 5 speed just needs a fuel pump, ran it on starting fluid today. Awesome cars

I was wondering how that thing rusted out like that in Texas. I never thought that the T tops would have caused an issue like that but makes sense if they are leaking. I recently added a 1984 5.0 convertible to my collection of foxes. Very clean, recently repainted, new top, new interior and no rust. Got it for 2800 and put some money into new front brakes, tires, alternator, starter and other little things. It is a NICE car! I drive it everyday to work in the summer if there is no rain forecast! Good luck with those floorboards.

Hello Mike, I watch some of your videos and I really like them because they are helpful. I to have a 1986 gt and working on restoring the damm thing. right now I have a question about the MAP sensor I switched out the upper intake manifold and was wondering does the MAP sensor have to be plugged into the upper intake. I had plugged mine up with a rubber plug?
