It is hard to "let it out" when many don't allow it or gaslighting you are crazy for being real.

Self-reflection is very important. You must first become aware of the emotions and then process them. Do not resist introspection. It may be painful initially, but we must attend to our inner being.

I'm emotionless and I have been repressing them for years now. To the point where I got used to bottling everything on the inside whether good or bad. Emotions don't exist to me or instilled in me. I'm just numb and ignoring every emotion out there. Physically and mentally I just got used to repressing my emotions

Applying such methods like these will be harder in the world we are living in, which is full of heartless and awful peoples everywhere who will only say sorry when they either get caught or because they were begging for their lives after they have been overpowered one way or another.

Self-awareness is always my greatest strength and weakness. Which is why I need to be extremely careful. If I'm too aware of my inner workings, it leaves me so exhausted that I struggle to move out of bed. Anxiety and depression augments the problem.

Hi. As a young teen who has been bottling emotions since kindergarten, fearing to cause stress to others, then being called crybaby and weak for “crying for no reason” and being yelled at for being quiet. I always thought i was chronically ill, because as a child i was sick about 7 months a year, bedridden and wishing to be put iut of misery, but it all makes sense now. I thought that i was just not ready for love or didnt have enough experience in my life to feel strong emotions, but i releasied that i havent felt any real emotions since 5th grade, instead, my chest has just been in pain. I always blamed it on my Asthma for heavy breathing and chest pain but this video made everything make sense. Thank you, but i still wont vent what happened, and ive kept everything secret for years, and i wont break the streak.

Been going through a lot of things in life that deal with stress lately. Adjusting to a second job, college, children starting school, and all chores to be done are exhausting and overwhelming, but this video is very helpful and informative to help myself get better. Thank you, Psych2Go! ❤

Ik i have been doing this for 5 yrs now...
And ik, these effects come from my repressed emotion i have been dealing with.
But... with school work, im not allowed to skip any classes to not make my trs or parents mad abt missing out on classes.
Since after the pandemic, being a student after 2020 is definitely difficult af and to others too...

This is the one for me. This is the first video I’ve clicked on in a few years. This is the one. Watching this sleep deprived going on day 2. Leaving this one random comment on one random video to get lost into the algorithm.

Great video! For anyone interested in further research, I strongly recommend Dr. Gabor Maté’s book “When the Body Says No”
