The metascript method has significantly changed my life. I used to feel so far away from my centered self and who I wanted to be. Now I feel centered consistently. I’m not done growing, but I see the roadmap now. I don’t have fear of the future, and disappointment in my days.

This is interesting to me because I kind of discovered this myself recently: When I crave drugs or porn or whatever, I disconnect from technology and go for a walk, or even better a run. I then engage in self-talk and describe to myself a timeline of exactly what will happen if I use, in the best case vs worse case scenario. Putting those “peaks” into perspective and reminding myself all the shit that needs to be traded for them almost always kills the cravings.

So, changing the meaning I give to an action. Good stuff. Recently I realized that I was afraid that if I use willpower to something I don't feel like, my emotional brain would come back to bite me in the ass by pushing me into a binge later. Reframing this has helped me tons.
I like the "What should I do to be proud of myself at the end of the day?" question!

Great video Mark. One of the things that I’ve come to realize is that there is this unseen constant struggle in our minds to go in one direction or the other. And if we guide that focus we can be much closer to the person we want to be versus letting things just happened to us. But it happens almost surreptitiously and so it’s very difficult to be conscious of it. They’re almost has to be an artificial construct in place, such as “I’m gonna make sure I do this at 6 o’clock every evening“ because we don’t detect the urgency.

I relapsed on friday after work. I regretted it. Im going strong, meditations self talks organising myself and staying strong and fasting. All going on this time. Also strict routines or maybe planned routines early morning.

Most people are not rational, logical, and or conscious enough to see their own experiences and furthermore others. That is why I interpret and piece together what others tell me so I can make the best habits that would work for me.
