Did You Know In COCO…

It happens to be the first time that a Pixar movie actually shows a character dying on screen. In this case, it is when we get the flashback of Ernesto and Hector parting ways and the latter is poisoned, plus Ernesto’s death scenes where he gets crushed by the falling bell. In all other Pixar movies, a character death tends to be slightly off screen, out of view or not occurring in the scene at all and is just alluded to.

Pretty much every single character in PIXAR has had at least one extremely perilous near-death moment/situation in which their lives flashed before their eyes.

It was gut wrenching seeing Héctor die in front of us, so slowly and so painfully, that for a moment, I thought it was a mexican movie from the golden age.

I think the reason they did this was pretty simple: it was a movie about DEATH. They had to address it head on.

That's what made me think...because other than Pixar no else animated movie companies don't show those death scenes in any of kids movies even Tho I found coco really logical flim but still there was a awkward silence in my mind
