Did You Know In COCO…

There happens to be a certain color that connects two characters throughout the movie. From when we meet her, we see that Mama Imelda is shown to wear a lot of purple in her clothing, even having purple markings on her skull in the Land of the Dead. There is actually only one other character to have the color purple present in their attire: Hector. This tells us throughout the movie that they have some sort of connection, foreshadowing their relationship as husband and wife.

I knew he was the real husband when I saw he had a gold tooth. I called it out when I went to the theater. Hector has a gold tooth and the skull on his guitar has a gold tooth

I didn't make the connection to Hector right away but I knew it wasn't Ernesto the moment was confused about having a "great-great grandson"

I'd notice something I don't see anyone else pointing out: in Hectors song Un Poco Loco, there is the lyrics "Put your shoes on your head.." Mama Emelda is a cobbler and links Hector and Her as husband and wife, and goes as far as showing Hector without shoes till the end.
