Did You Know In COCO…

Color is used to actually throw viewers off on the identity of the movie’s true villain. Traditionally with animated movies, the hero of the story will tend to wear light colors whereas the villains will wear dark colors. This tradition happens to be switched for this movie. Ernesto, who is revealed as the villain later in the story, wears white all through the movie, even after the revelation. Whereas in the case of Miguel and Hector, the protagonists, they are shown to wear the likes of red and purple.
