But there is more to why employees are quitting.

Whether companies like hearing this or not, but good employees tend to be much more inclined to leave rather than poor performers. Because those would typically stay and won’t bother going through the effort of leaving. 75% of 10.000 workers questioned, which voluntarily left their jobs, left because of their bosses and not because of the position itself. Employees don’t leave companies, they leave bad managers and I’ve repeated this consistently in my videos, because this is a number one motivator that gets people to look for other opportunities.

It’s a well proven fact that the happiness of the employee directly impacts on employee’s productivity. What are common reasons making good employees unhappy? Unhappy to the point of leaving the company. After years of experience in corporate HR, there would be frequent reasons why good employees quit and find out what companies must do to make their good employees stay.

Toxic managers think they know whats best for the employees, but whats really best is to stay as far away from them as possible and surround yourself with a company that cares and appreciates you and your efforts.

My last managers drove me to suicidal ideation.
I ran out the door and they didn’t even ask “why are you leaving?”
That shows how much they cared.

Another thing I hate is when bosses give vague instructions then blame you if anything goes wrong. I wonder if they do that on purpose so they can use you as a scapegoat.

With bad managers, I knew I would outlast them, and a new one would come along eventually.
Worse than that would be a new policy or rule that would show that the management (as you stated-lack of trust) wants you to show how every minute is being used. You can work your ass off and they still think you must be trying to screw off.

Just quit my job today - main issue was a lack of management empathy, toxic micromanagement and eroding trust and basic communication. Frustrating.

Funny part is the actual work was great, very productive, and decent exercise - the workers all generally did a great job, but MY GOD, the seeping negative judgmental undercurrent tone and micromanagement from management would wreck all that positivity and wreck the day. Just a wrench into the flow and productivity, what in the world. Needless to say there was a high turnover rate and I'll be honest, those who quit are still damn good workers and incredibly social to keep up with.

Keeping employees in line with patronizing attitude doesn't work. Being unaware of it is no excuse, the mirror has to reveal something eventually after a serious pattern of the same complaints and reasoning from turnover.

Sigh, nice to get it off my chest. Hope this helps and best of luck to everyone finding a fit that's not psychologically disruptive to your life.

Under paid and under respected. No real chance for advancement. More hours and responsibility with a title but no pay to compensate. Very poor job security. They will lie and make up a reason of their own for letting you go when you quit which will affect your future prospects as well as your ability to collect the insurance you may have paid into while employed.. So using them for a reference is not recommended. You face disrespect from both your boss and the employees and it just isn't worth the hassle that comes along with the responsibility.
