I appreciate that you don't just complain about the younger generation, but you show them a more excellent way through your videos. So many people complain but won't show them that opportunities exist and they present themselves through hard work and sacrifice. Thank you George.

Sorry, but the right employee can be paid $20/hour and still be profitable. $20/hour is $160/day, plus labor burden is still under $200. A guy in a truck with a ZTR and a 21" mower can do twelve $35 lawns here in Georgia. That's $420. That leaves $220 gross profit, less $70/day of overhead/expenses, for a net to the business owner of $150/day, or $750/week, per employee/rig. You just have to find the right guy.

I remember helping my dad baling hay and straw. I was about 7. i couldn't even lift a bale of hay but I could roll them.

When I was a teenager i could lift, stack, and throw bales as good as anybody. i always liked doing hay.

I even helped my neighbors. Summer just wasn't summer without baling hay.

It is really a shame the way the kids are today. If parents weren't afraid of child abuse, and spanked their kids for doing something wrong, the kids might be worth something today.

I've had 4 jobs before I turned 16, and believe it or not I was throwing bales also for one of them! Not for $20 an hr though that's crazy. Now I get up 4 hours before school to go shovel sidewalks at a meijers.
Thank you for this video, it's good to know I'm not the only one who works my but off.

I move hay, fix fence, plow snow, water, light carpentry, electrical, plumbing, sprinklers, check horses, feed, groom, trim and thin trees, run errands for fuel feed and whatever the land owners need where I live in a guest house for my rent with my wife and 2 year old daughter. That's all year... rain, snow, sleet or 100 degree heat. I also work 3 days a week turning wrenches for 13 bucks an hour. All of my other time is tied up in getting my business profitable enough I don't have to do the previously mentioned things. I used to be somewhat lazy when I was 18 19 20 21. Spent a lot of time fucking off. One day I realized I wasn't going to get a free ride from anyone and the lottery probably isn't going to happen. I met this girl and she made me want to work hard to win her love. 9 years later we had a beautiful baby girl. That's what really pushed me to strive for something more than 10-15 bucks an hour. You will be very hard pressed this day and age to ever buy a house have a decent rig, take care of doctors visits, dentists, and insurance much less get a yearly vacation or have things you want with that kind of pay. LIFE IS EXPENSIVE! So I started a lawncare business last year. I have a plan, drive and a good work ethic and I will be successful. GREAT VIDEO GEORGE!

what what what what i am dealing with non stop work at tgi fridays making stupid endless apps orders non stop from start to finish some days open to close with not a single break just for 12, 50 an hour bailing hay in the country pays 20 dollars crazy. though the hours i work over 10 in a day are 12;50 plus 9.70 it like i really only want doubles it's a new York thing. The thing i hate the must about the job is dealing with people who say this and that is not apart of their job but the kitchen manager saids line cooks put away platos before leaving thus it's a part of their job. Fridays is not like my previous cooking job where line cooks never put away plates but they have more line cooks and less dish washers. The thing i hate the must is when servers mod items by typing see sever.

Piling hay is back breaking work and I don't think the people who go for those jobs realize it and quit the first time a trickle of sweat runs down their back

Your speaking the gospel. Truth be told it's probably going to be the down fall to my business. I can not find guys to work. And when I do find guys there know it all lazy !÷/::. Like your videos and have been helpful. This winter will be the deciding factor because I'm going to get my CDL. If I can find a job I'm closing the doors.

i dont think companies really care about employee turnover, otherwise they would make conditions better.
