3 Exercises to Increase Your Punching Power

More than anything else, people tend to ask me: How can I increase my punching power and punch harder? This video demonstrates three exercises plus three modified variations, that you can do to improve your explosiveness through high intensity interval training and other workouts.

Some of the exercises demonstrated are single-arm dumbbell snatches, medicine ball throws, resistance bands axe chops, heavybag boxing work, plyometric pushups, and burpees. Learn some of the most hardcore exercises you can do at home or at the gym; with the right equipment and guidance, you will develop the ultimate punching power and be able to punch like Mike Tyson.

accidentally hit my face with a weight when doing a snatch.. I may say the dumbbell is a surprisingly good weapon

0:28 Snatch (weight)
1:25 Burpees (body weight)
1:39 Ball throws up (10-12lb ball), or
2:07 Ball throws at a wall (or partner)
2:26 plyo push-ups, or clap/slap pushups
2:55 Heavy bag work (i.e. punching that bag). 10s hard punches, 10s rest. Until 3 mins (focus on increasing strength instead of endurance)
4:26 Axe chops

Also when punching the bag, imagine your fists passing through the bag, also imagine you're as light as a feather for speed

Build a overal strong body, build explosive power and do a lot of rotation exersizes and you will hit like a train

Did 4 years in Cali prisons. There aren't any weights in Cali prisons so burpees and bar work was the staple workouts, especially burpees. Burpees will have your wind right for a fight. Now you forgot one thing bro, shadow boxing with light dumbells

Dude, I really appreciate how you cover every detail. I'm 14, I'm about 6ft tall I have a very light build and I don't have access to a gym. I can openly admit I'm weak and I have very minimal strength. I've been picked on and bullied and I could never do anything do to my lack of strength. Your videos allowed me to gain strength and gain fighting skills. You really are a life saver, I am very very grateful, thank you.
