POWERFUL Push Up Workout - Upper Body / No Equipment | EPIC Heat - Day 48

Plenty of push ups today! I think this workout will demonstrate just how much progress you have made with your upper body strength! Triceps, shoulders, chest, core! This push workout is a lot of fun!

For this calisthenics workout, it is important to warm up your full work including the lower body, shoulders and wrists.

We have so many variations to work through so no chance of getting bored!

Challenge yourself to perform each rep as best you possibly can!

There will be certain variations you find easier than others!

For this upper body workout, you will need your mat and a yoga block/thick book for only one of the variations however this id not essential as you can keep both hands on mat!

The timer will be on for 20 seconds of work per set with 20 seconds rest in between! We will perform each variation of push ups for 2 sets!

There is a staple in today’s workout as you know I love the benefits of repetition and a staple allows for this but is spread throughout the workout! Every 5th set will be standard push ups for one set!

To anyone needing a little extra motivation: When I started training with Caroline 2 years ago, I could barely do one push-up and get halfway to the ground. I didn’t believe I could ever be strong or athletic - my goal was to be able to run a few blocks without being out of breath. It took time and consistency, but I kept seeing regular progress so I kept pushing, and now my body is capable of things I never dreamed of. I run 10km trails, do dozens of burpees without pause, lift more than half my bodyweight in dumbbells. Two years ago, I would have sworn that I’d never be able to do 10 standard push-ups. Today, I did every single variation in this workout, and did the entire workout without pause. And the best part was that when I got into position for each set, I trusted that my body was going to be able to do it. That confidence is something I never thought I’d have, and I call it “the Caroline effect”. Do your best with this workout today, you are capable of more than you know. And if you have to pause, drop to knees, modify some variations, know that it’s all okay because all of the work you put in is a stepping stone to a stronger future you. 💕

Before EPIC I could not do a pushup without being on my knees. After months of training with Caroline I made it thru this session without knees. I was able to perform every move except the clapping pushup. I owe this achievement to Caroline and her EPIC programs. I am so grateful, Caroline, for your unmatched inspiration and tireless devotion to helping others reach new fitness heights.

Caroline has helped me many ways to overcome my trauma in certain workouts

E.g. I overcame my fear of burpees thru her BURPEES BONANZA workout and now pushups thru her POWERFUL PUSHUP workout 🙇‍♀️🙇‍♀️🙇‍♀️

Hi Caroline...just finished! This was an absolutely superbly planned workout from you! The 20 sec format really meant you could work to do each exercise as well as possible...and the way you organised it with the hardest moves at the start was fantastic! I never would have thought I could enjoy doing half and hour of push ups but I just loved this! I can now do clapping push ups...only about 4...but I can do them! At the end there was just a little bit left in my triceps so I did the add on! I saw it was the first birthday of this little workout and I felt it’s birthday couldn’t go uncelebrated! Loved my sprints on a perfect summers morning! A great start to the day! Thank you again, Caroline, for a fantastic workout! Matthew

Ah a no equipment! These are a boon for me as I can't seem to find any dumbbells ( India is still pretty deep into covid unfortunately). Push ups were always such a challenge but I'n finally learning and getting stronger! So excited for this workout! Thank you for helping me become stronger Caroline!
And good luck for epic heat...I can't believe it's almost over already. Time truly flies!

My push ups didnt look nearly as good as Caroline's and I couldn't do all the moves BUT I still gave my best and pushed to my own limit. Remember guys, it's you against you and we can be proud of ourselves for pushing through. Thank you for doing these workouts for and with us, Caroline. You are amazing ❤🌼

26/09/2022 Day 48 DONE!!! All these pumps!!! incredible!! I got my strength back from when I was in the military and had to do push-ups regularly!!! But at 51 and after my disc herniated problems I thought I couldn’t do it anymore and after a little more than a year of sport every day and with your fabulous programs I feel more fit than ever!! Thank you Caroline and have a great day!!!
