I Just combine both...
walking for warmup
then running as per your capacity
then walking for cooldown.

I get exhaust within minutes while running but by walking I maintain the consistence

I came across a YouTube video a couple of years back about walking is more efficient than jogging when it comes to burning calories or overall workout experience. And that made my day! The idea of walking felt much easier than jogging and I was overweight. I've always been a jogger in my young days back in Highschool and in my early 20's. Until I met my GF and got fat/lazy. Anyways, I decided to work on my health again and I've been walking at least 3-4 times a week. NEVER jogged for years until recently about 3-months ago. And my goodness I've completely lost my form of jogging and immediately experience runners knee (painful!).

But that didn't stop me because after that jog I felt great. My lungs literally opened up as if I haven't breathed for decades and my energy level boosted. After recovery from runner's knee, I went for a jog again and since then I never looked back. Sure I would still walk but only to warm up or if I know my knee is sore. But based on my experience, jogging is more effective than walking and I actually have lost more weight and my stamina has improved drastically!

For weightloss best is walking. Running releases cortisol and insulin would go up and when you eat more fat gets stored. Walking being aerobic in nature, releases low cortisol and hence fat burns more than anything else.

Far as running is concerned, due to previous injuries from the military I don’t running very often. I do lots of walking and low impact cardio. I get 15k to 20k steps a day without running.

Walking is probably better for most people. However, a 5-10 minute jog at 5 mph is good for improving stamina.

my super fast brisk walk is equivalent to a slow run but i just do a medium run during p.e lesson. ye so basically for me my opinion, don't judge running and walking is the same just depends how fast or slow you walk or run for example you run slow like it is like a slow jog or fast run. so ye it is just my opinion so don't judge ❤

Make a video on stairs. It is higher intensity but lower impact than running.
