My favourite part about reading the comments is knowing that over 50% of the people commenting don’t even watch the video. Walking counts as cardio for people who are average Fitness or Lower but people who are already doing a lot of cardio for example myself or triathletes or marathon runners or anyone who is in great shape walking is not considered exercise because it doesn’t improve or maintain your current level of fitness. If you want to get the most out of cardio you have to improve your VO2 max which is the number one predictor of longevity.

Walking for 2 hours a day help me cut hard. I got sunshine and felt SO good/happy. Humans naturally just need to walk.

Walking in conjunction with weight training works great for me. I work a desk job, so walking is absolutely necessary at the least.

I started walking 10000 steps a day almost exactly 100 days ago (before was only getting around a 1000 steps) and went from 165 lbs to 145 lbs. It’s been the only type of cardio i enjoy so it’s the best for me personally.

The people that live the longest are 90 lb Chinese women that walk everywhere.

Of course walking is exercise.

C'mon coach, walking 15.000 steps at a good pace is extremely beneficial for your health so it should definitely count as exercise.

Walking/hiking is excellent cardio because of how long at a time you can do it and how well you can integrate it into your daily life. Of course it shouldn't be your only "exercise", some form of resistance training is still mandatory to stay healthy

Just extremely wrong. Walking is the GOAT! If tomorrow I quit walking vs. quitting lifting, the quitting walking makes my overall health more shit shit. I've been lifting for a few years and I have experienced this first-hand and the difference is night and day. If I start mentioning all the benefits of walking then this comment will get a little long-winded but apart from my opinion, this subject is well researched too.

Walking and particularly walking at various times during the day is almost magic for almost all health metrics. This is a giant L. The teenage/ novice audience doesn't need to hear this. This will hurt more than it will help.

well for me the definition works.. i can feel how much better my stamina/ mental health is now that im walking everyday to work and i lost weight additionally. for me, every move counts and helps

Walking is literally cardio, yea it doesn’t train your heart as hard as other forms of exercise, but it’s still exercise because you are still moving your muscles for a sustained period of time. For a guy that preaches cardio and health and fitness, disappointing video

I think Walking definitely is exercise, I noticed when i was a kid everyone who walked to school was fit and everyone who got the car, any form of transport or lived next to the school would be obese, even just a light walk from school everyday was able to sustain or improve fitness, it might not make you a world class athlete but it is definitely beneficial to health.

I’ve lost 150 lbs and walking was my biggest form of cardio in the beginning


Edit: seems like a lot of you are mad that I walked when I was obese and considered it a form of cardio so let me just say that was when I was 300+ lbs and not doing anything at all it was a start and I had to start somewhere now years later I have obviously implemented new cardio training and don’t consider my actual “steps” as a workout or even count the calories burned from the walking hopefully that clears that up a little because y’all went in on me for facts I stated another thing I was completely agreeing with coach Greg and highly respect him he has congratulated me a couple of times on my weight loss and is a huge reason why I am where I am today

Put the treadmill immediately at 15% incline and at 3.5 mph. Walk (or “power hike” as I call it) for 1 hour. Do not hold handles the entire time. Then tell me that walking is not exercise.

Walking WILL sustain your current health. It may not improve it. If you walk every day … continuing to walk every day… you will sustain it. Walking daily helps me sustain my current health.

This aint it chief, I mean I ger your point but you can make walking in fact hard 😆 it all goes to the Pace. I walk at a high pace or steep routes whenever I’m on my rest day of running
