3) tire pump( in the storage space above the spare tire )

5 things I have in my car (mostly in my glove box): 1. Paper Maps 2.Car Registration 3.Sunglasses 4.Wet wipes (for that after drive thru cleaning :D ) 5.Tyre pressure gauge (I tend to check my tyre pressure before I go somewhere)

Things I have in my car...
Glovebox: CDs, paper maps I don't use, owners manual, also never used, service book.
Middle console: Sunglasses, tictacs, baby wipes, aftershave and a makeup brush. The last one isn't for a girlfriend, or any other female. It's for cleaning dust from air vents and other tricky spots in the car.
Boot: Car detailing stuff and an electric air pump with pressure gauge.

Okay for me, I'd say the top 5 things I carry in my car is...

5.) Papers that need to be thrown away or bag/wrappers from food. (Sounds messy and disgusting, but I never leave actual food in the car, just the paper sometimes)
4.) Miscellaneous tools like a flashlight, a pair of pliers, and a hammer.
3.) Change. I have a change jar that sits in my backseat floorboard that I deposit when the jar becomes full. It's much easier to toss the change in the jar rather than shove the change in my pocket only to eventually lose it, and when the jar becomes full it's an additional 40-50 dollars that I normally wouldn't have had!
2.) Lifesaver Wint-o-green mints. The only explanation here is I love the mints a lot, and I feel good and clean always having one nearby, so I carry a couple bags of them at a time in my backseat as well.
1.) My phone and an additional phone charger. I feel safe knowing that if I am ever lost or something goes wrong, my car radio can always charge my phone, so I should virtually never have to worry about a dead phone battery when I need it.

I have papers, air fresheners, and phone charger in the glove compartment, my sunglasses, mp3 player and a few CDs in the driver's door bin, garage opener on driver's visor, and nothing in center console. I can't think of things to put in there... Its been empty since the day i bought it.

Flashlight, fire-extinguisher, Swiss army knife, duct tape, rope, zip ties, gas can, a few tools, quart of oil, power steering fluid, brake fluid, rags...yes, I like to be prepared for anything!

This just shows how slow automakers are to adapt. If you know that the #1 thing we bring is our phones why wouldn't you make a cradle system for specific phone models. An accessory that I could buy specific to my model of phone that let's me dock it right in the car. I don't need most of the new nanny safety features in today's cars. I would like to be able to snap my phone into a dock securely that recharges it and puts it in car mode automatically. Ijs.
