A month ago my car failed to start from idle. ignition on but the engine wont start. I visited about 5 mechanics and each one of them told me I need a new fuel pump. because its obvious no fuel running into the engine. But I decided to go for a another one and he told me the Crank sensor is broken and you need a new one (about 15$). He changed it and the car runs like a charm. I told him how he figured out its not the fuel pump? He said because each one of them analyze the problem based on what they believe they know. Not what they learned from other cars.

I use to deliver car parts to garages I know exactly what garages to bring a car too and where not too. Dealer, and corporate garages ( Firestone, Monroe, Mavis, etc.) I wouldn't let them work on my bicycle, I have 2 places I take my car to and there honest and good at what they do.

Is it the law to be ASE certified for a mechanic in a shop? Sort of like a beautician has to be certified and register to cut hair and that stuff for profit...

wait until the mechanic, says that it's out ah a 1/2 ten thousands and then walk away slowly, then run, and oh yeah, check to see if those new car parts have fresh paint especially if it takes a week or more to get your car back, lol

I checked that LKQ, been given three stars by YELP or even worse by Google, one star
